A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Kirsty.

I'm a family and portrait photographer based in Mount Maunganui, NZ. I am inspired by the beauty we see all around us, every day. I love nothing more than golden light and copious amounts of emotion, the kind that makes your heart squeeze! My style is light, airy and full of feeling. My job is to make you feel relaxed in front of the camera so that we can capture the real you, the interactions with your loved ones and all the emotion and laughter that ensues, so that you get that shot that you cherish forever. 

During a photo session with me there will be some guidance, and light prompts, but I find the best moments are the ones that occur naturally. 

Photography is my passion and for me perfectly fuses my love of art, creativity and connecting with people.  I constantly strive to learn and I have recently been awarded a Licentiate Honours award with the Photographic Society of New Zealand.  As well as being a photographer I am a Physiotherapist, a 'bonus' Mum and a partner - my family are now well practiced models for me, mostly willingly!
